On December 14th, the FCC are going to try to vote get rid of net neutrality in basically taking away the American citizens' freedom of speech and giving way for big corporations like Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon to raise their prices extremely high for consumers online.
There are several petitions online that opposes this. There are even ways for you to call your state representatives to talk to them about this issue.
I'm not ashamed to admit that this issue actually concerns me greatly because it makes me worry about the future of the Internet if they vote in favor of this. Where is this going to leave everyone else who uses the Internet every single day if they soon can't access certain websites? Where is this going to leave those who can't afford certain online programs from these rotten corporations who want to basically take control of the Internet? Are we seriously going to let these bastards do this to us?

It's terrible. I'm going to try to get ahold of my state reprsentatives and sign any petitions I can to change this. This is such an infringement on freedom of speech.

IT REALLY, REALLY, REALLY IS!!!!!!! I've signed a few petitions. I've been trying to get ahold of my state representatives and couldn't get through because they were off on break due to Thanksgiving(I forgot. Lol!). But I'll try again. This shouldn't even happen at all. They're trying their damnedest to take away people's freedom of speech and freedom of the press. In a way, they're violating the Constitution doing this BS. Let's continue to spread the word.

Our government is in serious need of an overhaul as is. Not to get overly political there, I have no affiliation as the corruption is widespread all across the board.

It definitely needs an overhaul! It's like they're trying their best to make this into a totalitarian government instead of a democracy. The immense amount of corruption is off the charts insane!!!

We need to do away with the whole party system and truly strive to be united as one government and nation. We're all unique individuals that have something to offer and we should strive to unite because we're unique.

Absolutely. Too many extremes all across the board, no moderation. Indeed. I've heard that various huge companies, online or otherwise, like Twitter have actually spoken out against this BS.

Good. This can't pass, it just can't. Indeed. This can't get passed and I hope it doesn't. There's several protests that are going to take place in opposing this awful proposal. I pray that these efforts help.

If it passes I expect rioting to break out nationwide and that's something we can't afford. The country is divided enough as is.
