Now here's a Season 6 episode I can barely remember. That may not be a good thing though. But still, I thought I'd check it out again after so long and see how it holds up.
So we have a story about two-ex soldiers-turned-poachers with a shady past who go to the Alaskan wilderness to hunt a bear, kill a lesbian bartender, bring along some Asian girl who tries to turn the soldiers against each other, and then get set up by the Asian girl to be lunch for hungry vampires since Michael Ironside caused her to get hurt during the Persian Gulf war. I think I have all that right?
It's an OK episode. Not the best the show has to offer for sure, but not the worst either. Probably one of the weaker Season 6 episodes in my opinion (at least it's better than In The Groove). I mean it's watchable, but feels like a quick episode with a bit of a thin story. The actors are fine and the vampire work is at least freaky. I will give credit for its dark setting and being a more scary, less-camp type of episode.

I like this episode a lot and IMO it's by far the best of Season 6. I like the dark, cold atmosphere and setting of it, which reminds me a lot of The Thing.

Indeed, I found it was definitely one of the better episodes of Season 6, if not the best. Good acting (you can't go wrong when your lead antagonists are Michael Ironside and Bruce Payne!), nice scenery and creepy, claustrophobic setting also reminiscent of the movie 30 Days of Night.

Definitely a much better TFTC episode for Michael after he'd previously been in the lackluster Season 2 episode, The Sacrifice. Kind of funny how that worked out, he was in one of the worst episodes of otherwise one of the best seasons, and later in one of the best episodes of otherwise one of the worst seasons.
