Time to head to England for my next TFTC episode revisit. This time I'm looking at "Ear Today...Gone Tomorrow" from Season 7.
The episode is about a gambling safecracker with bad hearing getting mixed up with a dangerous mobster and his alluring wife and undergoes surgery to get the auditory system of an owl to complete an important job.
Not a lot to say about this episode (except for that black lady having a nice body). Not one of the worst from Season 7, but I don't know if I'd say it's one of the best. But it's not a bad episode. Interesting stuff on the whole idea of the mobster and mad doctor experimenting with animal parts on human guinea pigs like Glynn to improve their work. Too bad that Glynn got greedy which ended up costing him his life (which is typical of the fates that TFTC characters get). Would have been nice to see what happened to Henry since he got killed.

I remember it being absolutely awful and thinking it was so bad I'd never want to see it again. But I'm overdue to re-visit Seasons 6 and 7 to see which episodes are better or worse than remembered.

Well you can always watch this one like I did and then we can compare notes.

I'd definitely be interested to do so. I'll go through both Seasons 6 and 7 eventually, see how they hold up. Some episodes could well be far better than initially remembered.

I definitely will. I remember both seasons taking a big dip in quality from the first five, but there are some diamonds in the rough for sure from both.

I think many people are being unfair to Season 6. Sure it had some of the worst TFTC episodes (The Pit, Surprise Party in particular), but there were also some great ones, like Comes the Dawn, The Assassin, You, Murderer, Revenge Is the Nuts and Let the Punishment Fit the Crime, and it is nowhere as bad as Season 7.

Season 6 had some gems for sure. Comes The Dawn, Doctor Of Horror, Staired In Horror, Revenge Is The Nuts, Only Skin Deep and LTPFTC are all solid (even if LTPFTC is strange even by the standards of the show).

Season 6 has some good episodes, but I don't know if any of them would be considered the finest that Crypt has to offer. You'd find most of those in the earlier seasons. But again, it does have good episodes.
