Not exactly an episode many remember let alone praise when it comes to remembering episodes from the show. But since it's been years since I've last seen it, I thought I'd take a look at it again and see how it holds up.
The episode is about a newly-appointed fire marshal Inspector Zeller who aims to shut down the strip club that his daughter works as a dancer at. However, Zeller finds out his daughter isn't getting a scholarship for college, so he takes a bribe from sleazy club owner Puck to pay for her tuition. Nonetheless, Zeller still decides to go through with his plan to close down the club. So he hires some guy who hates bugs to burn down the club, which in turns makes him believe his daughter was killed at the club at the time of the arson fire and causes him to shoot himself in grief. But it turns out the daughter didn't die in the fire and ended up getting eloped to Benicio Del Toro for money.
Not a piece of crap, but certainly nothing that's especially memorable. I said similar stuff about Comes The Dawn, but at least that episode had atmosphere, some scares, etc. It also felt more like a TFTC episode than this did (but this episode is not on the level of The Pit). It's watchable and OK at best, but definitely an episode that will be seldom watched. I think an episode like this is proof why the last few seasons are the weakest ones. Also, what happened to that guy who started the fire? He's just in one scene and you never see him again. Makes the episode feel underdeveloped to an extent.
