Maybe it's just me, but in Avengers: Infinity War, something about Ebony Maw's design reminded me of Crypty for some reason. Is it just me? Something about the way he looked is somewhat Crypt Keeper-esque. Got to wonder if the Marvel crew or Russo Brothers are TFTC fans and that was their way of worming in a slight homage.

He was one of Thanos' right-hands in AIW. I'd post an image but with so much hotlinking disabled I'm having a hard time finding one to post.

Got to wonder if Crypty was in mind when Ebony Maw was designed for AIW or if it's just a coincedence. Not sure if it's talked about on the AIW special features on the Blu-ray.

It also reminds me of the scene in Avengers: Age Of Ultron when Ultron is seen sitting in the chair of the church with the cloak over him. I was instantly reminded of Crypty when I saw that scene for the first time and got to wonder if it may have been a slight homage.

I also recall there's a slight nod in the movie Radio Flyer. There's a scene where the kids are in a general store and some TFTC comics can be seen on a newstand rack. More of a nod to the comics rather than the show, but still, a TFTC nod all the same.

Thinking about it now, that film did feel like it has some creepy moments. |

It has a bit of a Horror-like vibe to it in some scenes and the orange-esque lighting also gives it a bit of an October/Halloween feel to it for me.

Some of Scarlet Witch's nightmares she induces are right out of Nightmare On Elm Street. It's like when they made the film they tried to evoke a bit of a Horror feel, and they succeeded in some regards.
