Back when MTV was good. MTV was so awesome back then even good old Crypty appeared on it.
I can't remember if MTV or VH1 had a special where Crypty hosted a scariest music videos countdown, but I know one of them had such a special back then. I'm sure someone must have it recorded in decent quality, just waiting to be uploaded.

And it was definitely MTV that did the Rock Countdown. This right here is where it came from. I have a friend who works in Viacom in the Footage Archive Department and he uncovered this little gem. Unfortunately nothing else.

I miss 90s MTV as well. Hell, I miss the 90s altogether. The days of MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, Discovery and Learning Channel, etc. all being great networks.
