Michael Rooker is very good. I enjoyed him in Cliffhanger(1993). Also he was terrific in Henry Portait of a Serial Killer even though it’s disturbing

His performance in Henry is one of the most disturbing and frightening portrayals of a killer. How he comes off as so ordinary and yet is still so evil beneath the surface. One of the all-time great villain performances. I'd absolutely compare his Henry performance to the likes of Anthony Hopkins in The Silence Of The Lambs.

Yeah it took several years for that film to came out but it got good reviews and did good business fir a small release. Sadly it didn’t propel him into more leading roles but he became a good character actor

He's an excellent actor and always enjoyable in everything he does. It's good in more recent times he's gotten more recognition for his portrayal as Yondu in the Guardians Of The Galaxy series. If you've seen both films you'd know he was essentially the heart of both.

He was also good in Slither which is very much like a long TFTC episode

I saw Slither a few years back on cable, I quite liked it from my memory. I've been meaning to pick up Scream Factory's Blu-ray edition of it.

Yeah it’s prrrty good. It’s kind of a throw back to monster movies if the 50’s but with dark humor

I recall it's quite similar to 1986's Night Of The Creeps, which itself is also a very EC-like film. Dark humor admist the Horror-oriented proceedings.

NOTC's director Fred Dekker also had some involvement with TFTC, helping write a few episodes and he also directed The Thing From The Grave for Season 2.

Correct. In fact Fred Dekker has said that he is very appreciative of TFTC because after Monster Squad failed he thought his career was over

It's a shame he didn't have a more successful directing career. I've been a fan of both NOTC and The Monster Squad for so many years. The latter was actually among the very first Horror films I can recall seeing. RoboCop 3 sadly killed his directing career, but I don't completely blame him for that film being such a disaster as I do the studio execs who thought making RoboCop into a family-friendly character and property was a good idea.

His performance in that film is Oscar worthy. That is, if the Oscars were fair and they properly chose the nominees and winners.

Decker has actually accepted most of the blame for Robocop 3 unfairly or not. But yeah it’s a shame it basically ended his directing career

The Oscars have lightened up a bit on genre fare in more recent times but still don't totally treat Horror with the respect and kudos it truly deserves.
I remember that, Dekker has admitted RoboCop 3's shortcomings are on him, which is professional of him. But the studio still wanted it to be PG-13 and family-friendly, so a lot of the blame is also on them for that. Taking something so violent like RoboCop and making it into something for kids.
