There's the saying goes that money talks and bullshit walks, and unfortunately that seems to ring true when it came to continuing the original X-Men canon past Logan.

It's something that ended up unfortunately blowing up in their faces.

It's something that ended up unfortunately blowing up in their faces. And all because of their bad judgment, bad decisions, and greed.

I'm not exactly optimistic for the upcoming New Mutants, although I'll be going into it with an open mind. Still, the prolonged reshoots and the numerous delays don't inspire confidence, not one bit.

Same here. At this point, it's probably best to just shelve the movie. Though, very rarely do films that go through troubling productions end up being successful. Still, this one doesn't seem to be good. ESPECIALLY with Disney involved.

The fact it's going to be the final film of the pre-MCU X-Men films seems just a little off to me, for some reason. It was originally planned as the start of a possible trilogy before the Disney buyout of Fox.

Then again it may be for the best if the film ends up being a disaster. Hard to be optimistic for it, either way.

I'm wondering if it'll even see release? There's so much negative buzz around it and the disatrous reception of Dark Phoenix doesn't bode well.

But, at this point, I'm over it now. I'd rather make a fan fiction story out of it, instead.

Back to Brightburn, the way it ended definitely hints at sequels and I'd be all for Brightburn sequels and new characters introduced in it's universe. I'm all for more Horror-oriented superhero films. I'm hoping between this and the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel that becomes something of a fad.

I'm hoping between this and the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel that becomes something of a fad. I've been seeing Brightburn VOD commercials on television and I've been wanting to see this film. I may have to use VOD or rent it somehow. Despite not seeing it yet, I'm glad that it leaves the door open for possible sequels and an extended universe. I'm also all for more Horror-oriented superhero films.

I think more Horror-oriented comic book films is a good way to keep the genre fresh and viable, too. Much as I enjoy major spectacle and event films like The Avengers, those do get tiresome after sometime and more Horror-oriented fare is always a good way to keep it fresh. Plus so many people who go to Marvel and other comic book films are also Horror fans, so it ends up as a win-win when you've got a film that's geared towards both the Horror and comic book fanbase.
