John Lafia has died at the age of 63, after committing suicide. R.I.P. For those who don't know him, he directed Child's Play 2 and Man's Best Friend, and he co-created Chucky. His contributions to Child's Play and the Chucky character have sadly never really been give the full and proper recogntion they deserve as much of what he contributed to Chucky as he's known were largely from John. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Sad he's another casualty of this terrible year  |

Tell me about it. We're not even mid-way through the year yet and it's already been awful. I wish it'd end already. Here's a video of him that looks like it was made fairly recently, prior to his passing. He talks a lot about Child's Play 2. Seems he was getting ready to record a commentary for it. Sad watching this Here's another one where he talks some more about his film career. Shame he never directed a TFTC episode, he would've been a good fit. |

He also directed an FMV game from the 90s called Corpse Killer. There's some making-of material in this video later on.
