Anyone else really like it a lot? It's a shame the tv series never adapted Poetic Justice.

I've always liked it and wathced it a fair amount as a kid. I wonder if Poetic Justice may have been intended for the TV show at one point but they just never got around to it? Would've been a good episode for Season 8.

I'd imagine probably considerably more graphic with the violence and content.

I'd imagine probably considerably more graphic with the violence and content. I could see them maybe having cast Lance Henriksen as Grimsdyke, had they done it. Also the dude's heart being torn out at the end definitely would have been shown in all its glory rather than just suggested.

Lance would've been a very good Grimsdyke. He should've been in an additional episode or two.

You know it's funny, I mentioned this before I think, but I have this odd memory of my father buying the 1972 movie on VHS when I was a little kid, and it was upsetting to me since I was scared of the Cryptkeeper puppet at the time, so he patiently sat down with me and explained that the puppet had nothing to do with this movie.

As a kid the puppet not being in the film was why I had no issue watching it. I remember how deathly terrified I was of the Crypt Keeper puppet from the show, but the absence of it in the film made it much less scary for me to watch. Despite the film being scary in it's own right.

I remember any fear I had of the puppet as a kid pretty much went away when I was watching tv one time and I saw John Kassir being interviewed and doing the voice. Just realizing that the voice just came from a normal dude ended that for me.

As a kid I always found the CK puppet so scary-looking. It wasn't until my early teens (maybe when I was about 13?) that I was able to overcome my fear.

It's still so funny to me to think such a ghastly-looking character like him ended up getting marketed and promoted so much to kids back then.

He's not without his more sinister moments in some of the segments of the show where he's seen visibly killing or maiming. Which as a little kid did nothing to ease any fears of him.
