I'm definitely a fan. Awesome movie, and one of Arnold's best alongside the first two Terminator films and Predator. Never bothered with the 2012 remake.

Yes I’m a fan. Paul Verhoeven does good work on science fiction

Do you think Quaid was dreaming, or did the events of the movie really take place?I personally like to think the events really happened. Doesn't it make the movie kind of pointless if it was all just a dream? Even though it well could've been.

Good movie for Arnold and Verhoeven.
Maltin Movie Guide Review:
Total Recall (1990) - 3 out of 4 stars
"Schwarzenegger learns he's a victim of mind-tampering in this 21st-Century tale--and once he discovers his true identity, journeys to Mars to help fight a power-hungry madman there. Riveting yarn (based on Philip K. Dick's short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale") offers endless twists and intriguing ideas....and the kind of over-the-top violence for which director Verhoeven is known. Dazzling, Oscar-winning special effects throughout."

Too bad the NES game was so terrible. Movie-licensed video games are infamous for turning out bad, especially back in the days of the NES/SNES/Genesis. The Total Recall NES game is one of the worst.
