I, too, miss the 90s. It seems like some of the best cartoons, shows, movies, music, etc. came out of that decade. Don't get me wrong. A lot of great things came out of other decades, but, and maybe it's because I'm a 90s baby, the 90s was zany but in a good way and it had so much charm. Btw, forgive me for being late but I haven't been on here for a couple of months due to things going on in my life and being busy. jman723, I just want to welcome you here. Good to see you're back  I figured you were likely busy with things in your personal life, but also due to the COVID-19 situation turning everyday life upside-down in such a big way. Another reason I miss the 90s, no pandemic to worry about. |

Yes it’s good to see the board more active. Obviously I’m a newer member but I joined right when the pandemic started. Yeah back in the 90’s there was no pandemic to worry about. Although looking back there were some big events. The Gulf War, Oklahoma City Bombing, OJ Simpson Trial, Columbine. Although those events seem Not as crazy as what has transpired in the 2000’s

I remember the media back then was still pretty sensationalistic and not much has changed in that regards. It reminds me of the movie Natural Born Killers.

Unfortunately, personally, my life as of lately have been full of drama. I've been going through a health problem that I pray will go away. And one of my relatives, who was my cousin, had recently been killed back in May and we're still trying to come to terms with that. For me personally, I haven't felt like myself. I've found myself more anxious, angry, and confused. But, my mother would encourage me and to not let things get on my nerves. I agree. Even though the 1990s still had a lot awful things happen, yes, a pandemic wasn't one of them. It's great being back. I would often feel so guilty for not coming on here as often as I should. But because of life, it doesn't happen. Yet, I'm going to do my best to come here as often as possible. I love being here. |

2020 has already been shaping up to be one of the worst years in a long time. I thought 2016 was a shitshow, but 2020 has decided to give it competition.

Yeah 2020 has been really bad. I can’t remember a year that has been consistently this bad. Obviously 9/11 was an awful experience for me personally because I was there so that affected me for months/years afterward but the rest of the year in 2001 leading up to that was actually really great

It seems for the most part the New Millennium just hasn't been kind. The 2000s and 2010s were both lousy for me, and 2020 is looking to top them.

I mean there have been some good times for me in the 2000’s. Met my wife, had kids,etc. honestly there have only been a handful of bad moments for me and they were mostly in 2001(9/11) and these past few months. In between some close relatives and friends have passed away which had been tough. |

There's been some good times, but overall the New Millennium for me has been really lousy. It'll be hard for me not to remember all the terrible times and things when I look back years from now.
