Holidays is another thing I miss from the 90’s era. Everything from Easter to July 4th to Halloween to Christmas was so different and better IMO.

Holidays were definitely more fun back then, especially Christmas. I miss the days of believing Santa was real and the excitement of waking up every Christmas morning and seeing my gifts. Christmas is definitely much less fun as an adult.

I used to love Thanksgiving. We used to go up to Massachusetts at my god father’s house. He had a huge house which a nice indoor swimming pool(back when that was really uncommon). Then we would drive back into the city and go to Radio City and Planet Hollywood. Even a few weeks ago I was thinking about the 4th of July I had as a kid. They would have so many fireworks and even a carnival. They stopped that over 20 years ago but it was such fun as a kid

I miss being a kid a lot of the time. I feel very fortunate I was a kid during the 90s. There's times you feel life dealt you the short end of the stick, but I don't feel that way at all in regards to the time I was born and had my childhood.

The 80’s and 90’s was a great time to be a kid/teenager. There were big events but nothing Really catastrophic in that era. It was also before the big technology/social media boom.

I'm very grateful I had my childhood in a pre-social media age. Nowadays you can't go anywhere not seeing kids on their phones tweeting and texting non-stop or updating their Facebook status.

True. Hell even adults who were born even in the 60’s and 70’s use social media all the time. I never got into it personally

Me neither, I find social media so distracting and pointless. I have a Twitter but only really use it to follow some celebrities I'm a fan of, that's it.

I hate twitter with a passion. 90 percent of it is used for personal attacks. When AOL instant messenger came out I thought it was cool because it was a new way to chat with friends and it was mostly civil and fun. Now these social media outlets are used to hurt people most of the time.

Social media really is toxic so much of the time, and then there's the stupid selfie phenomenon. If not for some celebrities I'm a fan of whom I follow on Twitter and Instagram, I wouldn't even bother having an account on either. I miss the pre-social media days and the early days of the internet.

Agreed. I’m very old school. Even iPhones I only use because I have to for work and family stuff. Another reason I miss the 90’s. When you talked to people it was either on your home phone or face to face

There's a real irony in that social media in a lot of ways actually has people much less connected than back then.

I’ve been looking old stuff when I was a kid as you can tell how simple times were back then. Even family gatherings were huge. I come from a Italian family so we would have huge family functions and everyone would come. Today even at Christmas you really don’t see that anymore. It’s funny I found an old TV guide from 91 that showed a poster of tales from the crypt season 3😂. I’m gonna post it when I get a chance

Cool, look forward. I always enjoy looking through past issues of magazines and especially from the 90s, seeing the ads and such.

My family would also have huge family functions back in the 1990s and I still remember them fondly. I can't wait to see the poster.
