A TFTC fan recently undertook a project where he took the intro of TFTC, as well as some episode clips, and converted them to HD/4K. You can see the results below.

"HBO’s anthology series “Tales from the Crypt” has still to this day never been released on Blu-ray, but thankfully horror fans are some of the most passionate people on the planet. Just in time for Halloween, Reddit’s Seth_Brundle_Fly has shared a fun little project he put together, upscaling the classic intro to the series in HD using AI upscaling software from Topaz!
Seth explains, “Taken from the Demon Knight source DVD and scaled up with machine learning. Unfortunately the original full frame 4:3 DVD television series release exhibits too many interlacing artifacts to make it a candidate for upscaling (at least not with good results) — so until someone releases the original show on Blu-ray and remastered, this will have to do.”"
The intros for other horror shows are being upscaled using the same technology, including Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and they’ll be uploaded to the YouTube channel Thirteenth Floor."
