I find this episode to be very underrated. It's a great thriller/horror morality tale about letting envy get the better of you. The main character/villainess, Helen Curtis, is petty and devious AF. Even though I understood her frustrations over making it big as an actress, the way she went about it was wrong and those frustrations basically made her into a monster. And the beauty pageant competition she enters into was full of ambiguity, and the episode did a very good job conveying the competition's mysterious and sinister nature.
This episode deserves to be admired.

This episode deserves to be admired. Thoughts? Not in 100% context but in terms of how she could relate to social media stars nowadays......OOOOH.....Everyone going out of their way to write responses to each other and call each other out on how they reached the top or how they got famous and what not. You can't have a favorite YouTube personality without someone hating them and trying to expose them....which is ironic, cause those same people trying to expose are trying to base their YouTube Channels on exposing people...... Ugh my head hurts.... But in terms of pettiness and envy...that is how I am trying to correlate it...hope I didn't go on a random tangent. AS FOR THE EPISODE ITSELF: I love how Mimi Rogers brought the character. She really put effort into it. You feel bad for this person cause she wants to be successful and she doesn't want to stoop low to do it. But its really sad that a lot of people will go to those lows in order to be a success. Then SOMETIMES, those decisions can bite us in the ass.....or get our torso's opened up....85% sure its more than likely the latter.

It's a good episode, with probably one of the more genuinely disturbing endings of the series next to Three's a Crowd. Despicable as Helen's character was, that's an awful way to go. The idea of an autopsy pageant is sick and with the kinds of people who live in this world, I wouldn't be shocked if something like that really does exist.
