Toons From The Crypt

Wonder who else remembers this episode of Tiny Toon Adventures that spoofs TFTC, and even had John Kassir voicing Buster as a Crypt Keeper parody. It was an awesome episode and despite being for kids it was actually surprisingly rather scary and gruesome. It proved to be too controversial for Fox Kids, who refused to air it back in 1992 and it wouldn't air on TV until Nickelodeon got the rights to air reruns. I can't find most of it on YouTube, but it's in the DVD sets and I believe some streaming services also carry it. I was only able to find one of the segments, Night Of The Living Pets. Re-visiting this it's actually quite disturbing for a kids' cartoon.



Goes to show the cultural impact TFTC had back then that it was being spoofed in kids' shows, and also funny to see it being marketed more and more to kids given the mature content of the HBO show.
