Apparently writer A.L. Katz recently started a podcast chronicling in great detail the entire difficult production of "Bordello of Blood" over various episodes. You can find the episodes on the link below: peopleai.com/fame/podcasts/the-how-not-to-make-a-movie-podcast/1gl2xolyb2dfuIf you've seen the Blu-ray documentary, the stuff you hear is nothing new, but the podcast at least goes into more detail with interviews with director Gil Adler, the casting director, etc. So it's more in-depth.

This is all very cool to hear. I'm amazed anything came out of BOB given what a dumpster fire the shoot was for all involved.

Been listening to the podcast and it's been very interesting. The later episodes are the most compelling. A bit of trivia from the podcast: As had already been mentioned, Dennis Miller and director Gil Adler overall didn't get along and regularly had trouble working together. Dennis Miller's last scene to shoot was the climax of the film with the big final battle with Angie Everhart's character. On a podcast episode, Adler recalls that when shooting was finished and Miller was overall done with the movie, Miller went over to director Gil Adler, gave him a big hug, and asked Adler if he and his wife would have dinner with Dennis and his wife if they ever offered him an invitation. Adler matter-of-factly told him "No." as well as that he no longer wants to be anywhere near Miller or have anything to do with him and then walked away even though Miller thought Adler was joking. But Adler and Miller had to work together again for reshoots later. Bordello cast/crew photo:

You can just tell by the look on his face there that Adler had a miserable time during the shoot and was glad to be done with it.

I don't care for BOB but I find the anecdotes about the shoot much more entertaining than the film itself for sure. In a way I'm still glad it got made because if not we'd never have the anecdotes about it. I'm honestly amazed anything came of the film at all given it's turbulent history.
