And I would be WILLING to waste hours and hours watching these old bumpers and commercials. They're a million times better than the ones from today! At least they were creative and memorable.

So true. It's time well wasted watching them non-stop and remembering the good old days.

It's funny how you go years and years since childhood not seeing these again then years later on YouTube you re-discover them and remember it all like it was yesterday.

It's like after not seeing these shows and cartoons for years, once you see them again, the lyrics to the theme songs and the episodes come right back! It's amazing! Thank God for the Internet and YouTube.

It's hard not to get a huge rush of emotion and nostalgia seeing all of this for the first time in so many years. Takes me back to better times in life.

A-to-the-men! It's like a great, soothing escape from the crap being shown on TV nowadays and mess happening in the world.

I truly feel sad for the youth of today that they'll never experience what it was like to be alive during the 90s and to have your childhood during that decade. There's so many times in my life I've felt like I was dealt the short end of the stick, but I'll always be grateful for being a kid of the 90s. I'll always feel like I was dealt a good deck in that regard.

The other day I was watching an episode of the show Gangland and the episode was about Neo-Nazis (how I hate them). One of the people interviewed was a former Neo-Nazi who said when on TV Gullah Gullah Island came out and one of his young sons said the N-word and hearing his son use that word got him thinking that a life of racism wasn't what he wanted his kids to be involved with and he left the movement with his family and now is a motivational speaker speaking out against hate.
Now how great is that, to think a show on old Nickelodeon back in the day inspired and prompted such a positive and drastic change in a family like that? I can't imagine anything Nick airs nowadays inspiring positive change like that.

With the 90s Nickelodeon discussion in the AYAOTD thread, thought it'd be good to bring this back.

Been in a nostalgic mood for 90s stuff lately and have spent much of my free time lately watching more 90s Nick stuff on YouTube. It's so easy to spend hours just watching old Nick commercials and bumpers. Really makes me miss my childhood and the 90s in general. What a great time to be a kid.

It's easy to feel like you were dealt a bad deck throughout life, but one regard I definitely don't feel that way is the time in which I had my childhood. I'll always feel very fortunate and be very grateful for having been a child of the 90s and I feel sad for kids these days who missed out on that decade.

Nickelodeon must've undergone a regime change as of late with how they're now seemingly trying to reach out to their 90s-era audience. There's lots of 90s Nick merchandise popping up and just recently a revival of Double Dare premiered, and now Rugrats is making a comeback. The Nick I knew and loved from back in the day is coming back and I couldn't be happier.

I honestly hope that the old Nickelodeon that we knew come back in some form or fashion. Besides the nighttime block called The Splat on Teen Nick.
