Continuing my look at the 30th anniversary of each season as they come around. I'm now on Season 5 which premiered 30 years ago on October 2nd. Season 4 took a dip in quality, but the show does come back with Season 5. The show was still riding high in popularity on HBO and in pop culture. Probably the last really good season of TFTC. It starts off well with "Death of Some Salesman". I think "Forever Ambergris", "House of Horror", "Well-Cooked Hams", and "People Who Live in Brass Hearses" are some other memorable episodes. Unfortunately, there are some weaker episodes like "Oil's Well That Ends Well" and the appropriately-titled "Halfway Horrible". "Till Death Do We Part" is a decent to end the season.

Excellent season and my second favorite behind S2, but I'd never argue or disagree with someone who cites it as the best. So many classic episodes in this season. House Of Horror is my favorite and IMO an extremely underrated and overlooked episode. The last really good season IMO, as sadly 6 and especially 7 were both pretty weak barring a few decent ones.
