What are some Horror films that to you feel like they could've been a TFTC Presents movie? Movies that have a very TFTC/EC-like feel and style and approach to their Horror elements?
One that immediately comes to mind for me is Re-Animator. Although adapted from the H.P. Lovecraft story, the film definitely has a strong EC flare to it. The mix of gruesome Horror with lots of dark humor and the overall storyline and craziness of it has a very strong TFTC feel to me. Sometimes when I watch it I almost half-expect the Crypt Keeper to appear right before the end credits to give a bookend to the movie because it feels so much like TFTC to me. I'm aware the movie came out a few years before TFTC aired on HBO, but it definitely in a way almost feels like a precursor to it with it's EC style.

Although not Horror and I've yet to see it, from what I've read on VBT it seems like it has a very dark and macabre sense of humor not unlike TFTC and the characters seem like classic TFTC antagonists.

I've been curious about that film actually, heard of it but not yet seen. Hearing it's EC-like gives me more incentive to give it a whirl.
Some others that came to mind as feeling EC-like and like they could've been TFTC Presents are Evil Dead II and The Return Of The Living Dead. Of all the Evil Dead films, 2 definitely feels the most EC-like, with it's very dark and weird humor, OTT gore and it's feeling of madness. ROTLD was heavily influenced by the EC Horror comics of the 1950s and it definitely shows with it's style.

From Dusk Till Dawn is another that feels very TFTC-like to me. Almost feels like it was written as the second TFTC Presents movie and would've been an awesome follow-up to Demon Knight. Felt more like TFTC than Bordello Of Blood, which came out the same year.

I remember that show and that episode. Definitely has a TFTC vibe to it. Some episodes of that show felt like they could be honorary TFTC episodes in a way. Family from Season 2 feels like an unmade TFTC episode that got recycled for Masters Of Horror.
Of all the Friday The 13th films, Jason Lives (Part 6) has a TFTC-like feel to it for some reason. Something about it's style, atmosphere and mix of dark humor in with the Horror aspects gives it an EC Comics feel for me.

having recently seen it again as part of my Halloween Horror viewing this past October, Dead-Alive is very EC Comics-like from the visuals, excess gore and dark humor. It was directed by Peter Jackson, who I believe is a TFTC fan, if I'm not mistaken. Interestingly enough, his film The Frighteners was initially supposed to be a TFTC Presents film before it was decided it was good enough to be released as it's own movie without the TFTC connection. The Frighteners I recall is also very TFTC/EC-like in many ways.

On IMDb, I made a list on Halloween of 2013 and had been working on it ever since. I've even made Cryptkeeper monologues for the films in showing what Crypty would probably say about any of these films.

The Vagrant (1992) 23. Cursed (2005) 24. Blood Diner (1987) 25. Maniac (2012) 26. Body Parts (1991) 27. Slipping Into Darkness (1988) 28. The Nature of the Beast (1995) 29. Crawlspace (1986) 30. Parents (1989) 31. Shocker (1989) 32. Dream Lover (1993) 33. Def by Temptation (1990) 34. Nightwatch (1997) 35. Sorority Row (2009) 36. Dolls (1987) 37. Judgement Night (1993) 38. You're Next (2011) 39. I Sell The Dead (2008) 40. My Boyfriend's Back (1993) 41. To Die For (1995) 42. Ravenous (1999) 43. Vamp (1986) 44. Dream House (2011) 45. The Forsaken (2001) 46. There's more films I've originally put in my list on IMDb.com but I've decided to narrow it down to 50 films for now.

I've seen some of the movies on that list and some of them are definitely reminiscent of TFTC and feel like they could've been part of the TFTC Presents series.

I've seen some of the movies on that list and some of them are definitely reminiscent of TFTC and feel like they could've been part of the TFTC Presents series. That's why I chose these particular films. I've also seen some of them and I enjoy them. I'm planning on seeing the ones that I haven't seen yet but the films seem like perfect fits for TFTC episodes. I'm still looking for more films that have that TFTC-like vibe and morality. Also, I'm planning on making Tales From The Crypt comic book fan art to these films. As in, I'm going to recreate the Tales From The Crypt logo and the classic EC comic book structure and style(like shown in the show whenever Crypty is introducing the story in his storybook), and then add drawings I made of the characters from the films in EC Comics-like poses and reactions.

Sounds awesome, would be a good fit for the fan works forum on here for sure. I'm definitely posting them on here. I was originally going to put them on Deviant Art, and I'm still going to. But I'll post them on here so you guys can see them first. And you and anyone here are more than welcome to suggest any ideas on any of my sketches.
