It's a good one to start with for sure.

It's a good one to start with for sure. Thanks. There's some ideas of the way I want to create the artwork for Body Parts, Death Becomes Her, and Black Swan. Even though I'm still working on the TFTC logo fan art, I'm constantly looking at references from the artwork of the comic book pages from the show as well as the original art work of the 50s comics. You're more than welcome to give me any suggestions.

Do you mean artwork of a moment in those films that sort of summarizes them in one image? Sort of like the artwork seen on the show did?

I kinda have an idea for what image I want to create for Black Swan. My idea is for the main character, Nina, is to have her pose in a ballet pose in front of a mirror while wearing her white swan ballerina costume while her mirror image is doing a different ballet pose and is wearing the black swan ballerina costume. What do you think?

That sounds like it'd work just fine.

Having watched this last night on my DVR after it recently aired on HBO, I definitely see the TFTC similarities. It almost feels like it originated as a Shock SuspenStories comic that didn't get adapted for the show but instead got made into a full-length film.

I feel like you could easily add Cryptkeeper sequences to the beginning and end of the movie and no one would know the difference.

Cryptkeeper dressed as a hotel bellhop: "Tonight's terror tale involves some friends losing their HEADS over some unpleasant business at a stag party, or should I say, stab party, in a ghoulish display I call…Very Bad Things."

I can totally see that. Wonder about what the end segment might be like? We return to the Cryptkeeper in his bellhop getup, now lounging by the hotel's pool. "Well creeps, it looks like Laura's wedding scarimony didn't go quite the way she planned, and now she's stuck taking scare of a couple of living corpses. But I guess that goes to show you, all that planning and you might hit a dead end. As for me kiddies, after I have another s cartini, I'll be taking a dip in the hotel ghoul. Until next time kiddies….(maniacal laughter)"

I could see that working just fine.
I wonder if Peter Berg (the writer/director of VBT) is a TFTC fan? There's definitely a strong EC vibe and undercurrent in that film, like he intentionally went for it.

There's definitely a strong EC vibe and undercurrent in that film, like he intentionally went for it. I would imagine he is. I feel like the movie's TFTC vibe is too strong for it to just be a coincidence. It could have easily been the third TFTC film after Bordello of Blood.
