Yes, I recall seeing it on there in the early 90s. Long before the days of Adult Swim. Pretty amazing they allowed it to be shown on there. Yeah. I think it's another one of those situations where in the 90s, people didn't give a damn for the most part. It's kind of like how toys made in the likeness of characters from R rated films were being marketed to children. And the Cryptkeeper toys and promos being shown on channels like Cartoon Network were no different. Nowadays, though I could be wrong, people are way too sensitive. But then again, they're kind of trying to market Deadpool to the children but that's neither here nor there.

It was definitely a very different time during the early 90s. You don't really see merchandise from R-rated films marketed towards kids anymore these days, although you can still catch subtle references to them in some kids' shows and such.

Call me crazy but I kind of wish that this kind of stuff still happened.

Would be awesome to see it again.
Not to get too off-topic into something far more serious, but I'm also thinking the backlash to violent media back in the 90s when it was being blamed for things like school shootings could be a big reason we virtually never see merchandise from R-rated films marketed to kids, anymore. It's unfortunate because to me that's just veering attention away from things that cause such incidents in real-life.

The media and parents have been blaming movies, TV shows, and music for violent incidents that's happened in reality. Just like how in the 1950s, the comics were blamed for violence, delinquency, and immorality in the society. It's like these prudish assholes have not once thought that perhaps the reason for all of the violence that's happened and continue to happen is due to society constantly keep perpetuating such devious behavior and how some parents aren't really doing their jobs as parents. I've actually had this conversation with my mother and she agrees. The problem with this situation is that some parents don't take responsibility for how they've raised their children and didn't really let their children know that violence isn't right and that they shouldn't engage in violence or any criminal behavior. My mother is the reason why I'm a huge TFTC fan. As a child, I use to watch the show with her even though I was way too young. But she assured me that a lot of the crazy stuff that happen on there isn't real yet she told me that the main point of the show is to show you not to do evil things. I've watched some things that were mature when I was younger and I never thought about wanting to commit violence against others. This thing starts in the home. Not the film theaters, television, video games, or comic books. At this point, it's gotten so bad with the movies that they're trying to completely water down R rating while the PG-13 rating is extremely broken beyond repair. It's gotten so bad that the few R rated films that do come out and end up being successful are extremely coveted to where some people are getting absolutely sick and tired of the constant PG-13 rated films.

It's sad how what happened to the EC Comics back in the 50s ended up happening again around the end of the 90s over similar reasons. Thing is it solves nothing in the long run and only takes attention away from what actually causes violence in real-life.

There's so many promos and such featuring Crypty. I wonder if it's even possible to acquire them all.

Some more I found on a new channel called Found Stuff. The uploader chose to age-restrict these videos, so you'll have to go directly to the videos themselves to view them.
The first video has promos that aired right around Halloween-time when HBO was having an all-night marathon. A few promos for some Season 2 episodes are in the first video. The image quality on these is surprisingly good and also include the "Parental discretion advised" warning.
