I'm surprised you didn't like Dream Warriors, it's always been one of my favorites and it seems like a movie you would've liked. It could just be your expectations were far too high. It'd be good to re-visit it again, someday. Funny enough, first time I saw the original ANOES I didn't like it because I had too high expectations for it.

It'd be good to re-visit it again, someday. Funny enough, first time I saw the original ANOES I didn't like it because I had too high expectations for it. And that's what upsets me. As you said, my expectations were far too high. It also made me think that the film is severely overhyped because I didn't really see what was so special about it from the way so many fans had sang its praise. It's like I've been tricked. I might watch it again someday. But I don't have the desire to do so now. I just can't get over how it left me feeling extremely disappointed, depressed, and even bitter. I'm not even joking when I tell you that it made me cry for both obvious and not so obvious reasons. It left me with conflicting emotions.

There's some films that left me feeling like that after I first saw them, but with rewatches I was able to enjoy a lot more and also appreciate for what they were rather than what I thought of them being as before I first saw them.

There's some films that left me feeling like that after I first saw them, but with rewatches I was able to enjoy a lot more and also appreciate for what they were rather than what I thought of them being as before I first saw them. As I've said before, that's how New Nightmare was to me. I didn't like it the first time I had seen it. But the more I watched it, the more I liked it and grew to respect it. I watched the film not really expecting anything interesting or noteworthy. Ironically, it eventually became very interesting to me and one of the best NOES films in the series. Dream Warriors is a different story altogether. The difference was that I didn't expect too much from New Nightmare and my expectations weren't high like with Dream Warriors. And after I had first seen New Nightmare, I didn't feel bitter and extremely disappointed like with Dream Warriors. It was like,"Meh. Whatever.", because I didn't expect much. With Dream Warriors, I was expecting to enjoy myself and to experience the "greatness" that fans have claimed that the film has. But, neither happened for me. I did like some of the scenes and I think the concept is awesome. But, in my opinion, the way things played out in the film didn't sit well with me. I don't know if I want to give Dream Warriors another shot because my heart isn't in it at the moment. I now keep away from it.

It's be good to re-visit sometime. There's been many fans I disliked the first time that after I saw them again some more I liked much better, and likewise the other way around, too; liked the first time but the more I watched it, I started to dislike.

Yeah. Same here. For now, though, I just don't have it in me to watch the third NOES again.
