Are there any others you've liked over the years besides The Crypt Keeper?

MonsterVision on TNT was a big part of my childhood, definitely a fan of Joe Bob. Was also a Rod Serling and MST3K fan. The Creep from Creepshow is cool. I like Elvira but for some reason don't recall watching her as a kid, she may have been slightly before my time.

Elvira had her show in the early 1980's. She was around in my time, but I was too young to have watched her before she became very famous in the late 80's.

I was born in 1987, so I would've been a baby around the time she had her show during the later part of the decade.

Besides Crypty, I would say Rod Serling. I haven't seen enough of Elvira's shows to truly have 'favorite horror host' opinion, even though I love her style. The others, I have to watch more.

Not sure if you ever watched TNT's MonsterVision back then, loved that show and have so many great memories of it. Been a big Joe Bob Briggs fan since. Hilarious to imagine him and Crypty together, the banter would be priceless.

Hilarious to imagine him and Crypty together, the banter would be priceless. I was too young to remember. I was born in 1990 and didn't watch most of these shows except TFTC and The Twilight Zone, which I ended up watching on the Sci Fi/SyFy Channel. I have to check these other shows and their hosts out. Thank God for the existence of YouTube and other video websites.

I think a lot of the MonsterVision segments and airings can be found on YouTube. Brings back nostalgia galore when I watch them.

Enjoy. I feel bad if you never watched MonsterVision back then. So many great memories of it back then.
I always liked the Creep from the Creepshow movies, too. The silent one from the original is scary, but I also liked the talkative one from the second film who's a lot like the comics version of the Crypt Keeper.

Oh, now, I KNOW the Creep from the Creepshow movies. He's great, too! I wish that we could've seen more of him.

It'd be very entertaining to see how Crypty and the Creep would've interacted.

It'd be very entertaining to see how Crypty and the Creep would've interacted. Yes! A cool storytelling collaboration between them, perhaps.

I could've definitely seen that. The Creepshow stories as is feel like unused EC stories that got recycled for those films.

When watching the film, I feel like the stories are something out of EC Comics. Also, one of the EC Comics artists had worked on the film. So, maybe he had helped out in the writing process.
