Given that many of them didn't turn up for Solo after many were left upset by The Last Jedi I wonder how that's going to pan out.

It will all blow over in time, but Episode 9 is really going to have to impress to restore faith in Star Wars.

One could argue the Star Wars brand is on life support right now and Episode XI is the last ditch effort to fully revive it.

Star Wars is hardly on life support. It still makes money. Solo is just a mere bump in the road in my opinion.

But being the first live-action film of the series to be an outright flop is surely a big blow. So many fans are still upset over The Last Jedi and what it did with the characters, and many fans said they wouldn't bother with newer films after it. Going by Solo's low turnout, these fans weren't kidding.

Well I still think that this stuff is all a mere bump in the road that will blow over. If people can endure The Phantom Menace and get past it in time, then they can get over all this.

Right now Disney needs to let Star Wars rest for a good while. I do hope Solo's failure hasn't completely doomed it as there's other spin-off films I'd like to see them do, after how much I liked Rogue One.

I'm sure other spinoffs will come in time. There is money to be made after all.

I'm honestly more interested in the spin-offs and character films than the sequel trilogy.

Well the sequel trilogy will really need to come up with something magical and not feel like it's just going over old territory.

It's a shame how we'll never get a proper reunion now with Han, Luke, Leia and Lando. It's cool Lando is returning for Episode XI, but I see no reason he couldn't have been in the sequel trilogy sooner.

Well Episodes 7-9 need to keep focus on Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, etc. and not be all about the original gang. We've already had a bunch of movies with the original gang. I don't see Lando doing much in Episode 9 since Billy Dee Williams is 81 and not in the best physical shape.

Which was all the more reason it was a missed opportunity not to have him return as far back as Episode VII, IMO.

I wish people would stop acting like The Last Jedi is the worst movie to have ever been made. People still complain about it to this day. They have as much, if not more so, ridiculous criticisms toward the film as much as legitimate ones.

It's a flawed film for sure but I didn't think it was that bad and it's certainly not the worst thing ever.
