Okay, so there isn't an actual TFTC ride anywhere, but having spent so much time lately watching the videos on Defunctland on YouTube and also seeing ride footage of rides like The Haunted Mansion got me thinking about how cool it'd be to see a TFTC-themed ride. I think this would be a fun thread for us to share ideas as to how a TFTC ride might be. What could be the story behind it and what type of ride would you see it being? I'd try to have it be something of a combination of a dark side, indoor roller coaster and motion simulator where you're on a journey inside Crypty's mansion and experiencing the various dangers and horrors hidden inside. It'd basically be much like the pilot episode of the animated series, While The Cat's Away. I think such a ride has a lot of potential to turn ou awesome and I'd love to see it happen. Any ideas you have for a TFTC ride, by all means do share.

You know what'd be perfect that kind of ride? Make it a simulator ride, similar to the Back to the Future or Hanna Barbera rides. I feel that would be great for TFTC.

I can definitely see that. You could be inside a carriage or hearse and exploring the catacombs and cemetery around Crypty's mansion before winding up in the mansion itself and experiencing the various monsters and dangers lurking within. They could even bring back some of the creatures that appeared in the various comics and episodes, like the Mournin' Mess ghouls in the catacombs. It'd be awesome if they could somehow also incorporate the Crypt Keeper puppet in the attraction itself that actually interacts with the guests.

I could also see a TFTC ride being similar to Revenge Of The Mummy at Universal. The way the ROTM ride looks is actually similar to how I pictured a TFTC ride in my mind.

It'd likely never happen in a million years with Disney, but it'd be awesome if they did a seasonal re-theming of The Haunted Mansion to theme it after TFTC. Make it into a simple dark ride through Crypty's mansion. How awesome would it be to enter the foyer only for Crypty (as an actual animatronic puppet) to pop out of his casket and scare the guests silly. Then after that he greets and welcomes them into the mansion.
With TFTC's massive popularity back then I'm kind of shocked we never got a TFTC ride, though there were at least the Halloween Horror Nights TFTC attractions Orlando had back in the 90s.
