The other night I was going through Prime trying to find something to watch when I came across this documentary. I love movie lists. This one had some very good horror movies that are overlooked. It actually also had one of my favorite movies, Night of the Hunter(1955) on it which was weird because it’s regarded as a classic. One movie that I really recommend is Alice Sweet Alice(1976). Anyways is pretty good overall and I linked the documentary below if anybody wants to see it. m.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq3BQdDnRIQ&t=1492s

Yeah it’s not my favorite but there are some good lesser known films on there. I think Bravo’s 100 scariest movie moments is one of the best

That was a good one. I remember catching it when it aired.

Me too. That was back when it was harder to find some of those films so it was great having a big documentary like that . Even VHS was still around at that time lol

I remember VHS was down to it's last few years around that time.

Yes. I think the last VHS was made in 2005/06.

I recall it was around 2008 they ceased production. It had a long and impressive lifespan for sure, surviving just before the digital age.

I used to love going to the video store as a kid on a Friday/Saturday Night. My pizza place was literally right next store so we would be set lol

I miss video stores. So many fond memories of them back in the day. Especially browsing the Horror section as a kid. Good times.

Absolutely. Looking through all the covers was something I always enjoyed. Now it’s so easy to find a movie or a show. Back then you needed the TV guide and hope what you were looking for was playing or go to the video store. Good times

While I like the ease and convenience of streaming services and such that exist today, I sometimes miss the excitement of discovering a new movie or show on my own back in the day from tuning in. Especially when it'd be on a programming block like MonsterVision or USA Up All Night.

I feel the same way. I feel fortunate that I grew up during the 80s and 90s long before streaming, social media, and even cell phones became a big thing in society.

I was a kid of the 90s and fondly remember catching movies on USA Up All Night and TNT's MonsterVision, and also catching Horror films late at night on networks like Cinemax. I miss those times for sure.

Do you remember Monsterfest on AMC? I used to love it every Halloween. They used to play all the universal monster films as well as the Hammer films
