One episode that sticks in my mind was one of the ghost ones. There was a scene with someone in a kitchen washing dishes and there was a plate floating that caught their attention. I remember as a kid finding that pretty funny.

Yeah looking at the ghost episodes now they do look a bit campy/funny.

I remember one of the most disturbing episodes was the one about Jim Burnside, who murdered his wife. I'm glad he got caught, and years later he died while in prison.

As disturbing as the re-enactment was I can't imagine how much worse the actual killing was. I remember even as a kid it stayed with me and it still really affected me rewatching it for the first time in years not that long ago.

I'm so sorry about your grandmother, jman. RIP to her. I used to watch Unsolved Mysteries a lot just like I used to (and still do) watch TFTC a lot. It used to scare me silly like TFTC as well. One time, when I was 9 years old, I was getting ready to watch an episode of this show and I had the urge to pee. Once the music and intro came on, I was too scared to go to the bathroom that I slinked back into my bed and stayed under the covers while watching the episode. LOL!!!

Thank you for the kind words gljbradley. Yeah watching them as a kid was eerie. The music, Robert stacks distinct voice, and the dark lighting made it very creepy. It’s another one of those shows that can’t be replicated even though the remade it several times

As you said, the music, Robert Stack (RIP)'s voice, and dark lighting made it very creepy. Not to mention, a lot of the cases are extremely mysterious and frightening when you really think about them. Whether it's dealing with ghosts, disappearances, and murders. I agree that it's one of those shows that can't be replicated. Though, I heard that the revival on Netflix is pretty decent.

It's still scary to think about the cases that are still unsolved to this day.

Yup I was recently binge watching and cars from the 80’s and even 70’s are unsolved probably forever

Back then forensic science wasn't nearly as advanced either, making solving some of those cases even more difficult.

It's still scary to think about the cases that are still unsolved to this day. Exactly. It's terrifying and disheartening.

The cases about missing people and children that are still unsolved are so sad and it's scary to think how that can so easily happen to a loved one of your's.

I also enjoyed the stories of Family members reunited after decades. Since many if the other stories tended to be darker it was nice to show some uplifting ones as well

Those were good as well. Definitely offered some welcome levity after so many dark stories.
