I used to love this shoe growing up. This and Tales from the Crypt were on at the same time and I always felt they were similar in tone even though one is based on true events(mostly). I used to watch this with my grandmother(who passed away a long time ago) but she loved the UFO/ghost stories while I loved the true crime stories. Anyway I recent started to binge watch it on Prime. It’s funny how different you interpret shows rewatching it as an adult. I still love it but it’s different experience

R.I.P. to your Grandma. Mine died as well years ago. Losing Grandmas is tough. My Grandma was actually a big TFTC fan and regularly watched the show.
I remember this show very well and watched it a lot back in the day. Always enjoyed it, and it was always very eerie. A while back a bunch of episodes were uploaded to YouTube but I'm not sure if they're still there.

Thanks. My condolences to your grandmother as well. Yeah it’s still eerie watching it at at night lol. The music is part of it as well as Robert Stack’s distinct voice

Thank you.
This show could especially be eerie to watch at night before going to sleep, particularly after watching one of the ghost episodes. Even if you don't believe in ghosts, watching those shows at night by yourself before you go to sleep can get you in a creeped out mood.

Yeah some of the ghosts episodes are eerie but some of the true crime ones are eerie as well

The true crime episodes tended to be very disturbing. I'm glad a lot of the creeps profiled on it got caught.

I’ve been binge watching the whole show again the past month. The reboot can’t hold a candle to the original. The music, Robert Stack’s narration, and the stories are so eerie and compelling.

Robert Stack as the host and narrator was a big part of the original show being so effective.

Absolutely. The locations were also great they would use. Even the re-enactments were effective

The music and ambience were also a big part of what made it so effective.

The music always put you in an uneasy mood and stayed with you long after you watched an episode. To be alone by yourself at night and be watching this show and then later when you had to do something like to the kitchen for a drink in the dark with the music still in your mind... memories.

What are some of your favorite stories? I always loved the Scared to Death story with the women who claims she was stalked/attacked fir year but some claimed she was doing it to herself then she turned up dead and hogtied.

It's been so long since I last watched any that I can't really say. I need to rewatch the series. I believe there's a bunch of episodes uploaded on YouTube.

Yes that’s correct I’ve been watching them on YouTube. There are so many good cases that it’s tough to pick out a favorite and it’s easy to forget
