I always loved this Stephen King Werewolf adaptation. It’s got its flaws and the werewolf looks more like a bear but it’s got a great heart to it. Also Gary Busey chews the scenery up. Like I said it doesn’t get the love that The Howling or American Werewolf in London do but I have always enjoyed it growing up and still do now

I've always liked this film. I even own the novella off of which it's based, Cycle Of The Werewolf.

Cool. It was originally supposed to be directed by Don Coscarelli. Legend has it he directed a lot of the non werewolf scenes but Coscarelli has said he left before production began. I haven’t read the novel but always wanted to

The novel is definitely well worth a read.

I’m gonna try and give this a rewatch maybe this weekend. It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen it but I’ve always liked it flaws and all. One thing I didn’t bring up in my OP was Corey Haim. I feel he is a forgotten actor especially by the newer generation. He was really good in this film but also Lucas(1986) which is a great coming of age drama. Lost Boys too. So sad what happened to him especially the fact that he was a good person who was a victim of abuse during his teen years

It's very sad what happened to Corey Haim. His life was cut short no doubt due to the extensive drugs he took and the ill toll it took on his health. I think he had it in him for a big comeback and could've turned both his life and career around. We'll sadly never know.

From what I remember he was off drugs and starting to make a come back. He had done a number of indie movies as well as a good cameo in Crank 2 with Jason Statham. The sad thing was that his abuser was a fellow actor named Dominick Brascia who turned out to a good friend of Haim’s “best friend” Corey Feldman. Feldman knew what happened but not only continued to be Brascia’s friend but even put the two of them in a movie together that Feldman directed which caused a blowup on set

I heard about that. He suffered such terrible abuse. It's sad watching him on the special features For The Lost Boys, seeing his obvious health issues.

Yeah it’s very sad. But if you haven’t see it I highly recommended Lucas(1986). I think it’s his best acting role and makes you think what “could have been”

I believe I've seen parts of Lucas but never in it's entirity. He was a talented actor and it's so sad how both his life and career took such a bad detour.
