It's pretty good. I wonder if they made a third film if they would've called it The Haunt Of Fear, continuing the pattern of naming them after the respective comics?

The late Emer Prevost reviewed both the 1972 film and The Vault Of Horror as part of his Reaction & Review series a few years back. Both reviews are entertaining. I'd recommend checking out the rest of his channel's content as well, though it's a bit depressing given that he passed away

I watched both the 1972 movie and The Vault Of Horror last night for the first time in so long and forgot how excellent the 1972 movie, and The Vault Of Horror is pretty good but not as much so. I still think the 1972 movie is among the best Horror anthology films alongside Creepshow.
A shame the stories Reflection Of Death and Poetic Justice didn't get adapted for the HBO show, both would've been great to have seen. And imagine how much more gruesome both would've been.
