Somebody not too long ago made a very interesting thread about movies that are similar to TFTC. One movie that I think fits that bill is David Cronenberg’s body horror film Videodrome. I always felt it was the more unique horror/sci-fi films that is relevant today with how the media effects the way people think and act. James Woods has always been one of my favorite actors and he is great in it. Just a very good movie to watch especially with Halloween coming up in a month

I've always been meaning to give this a look. I've yet to see it but have heard of it over the years. Seems like a very strange movie and I'm drawn to weird and unusual films, so it sounds right up my alley.

Strange and surreal for sure. I think you will like it though

It sounds like a movie I'd like. I've enjoyed Cronenberg's other work.

Still one of my personal favorite horror films. What makes it scary is how true a lot of it turned out to be in terms of the message. Way ahead of its time. Cronenberg and Woods should have done more films together

It was relevant and timely even then, and nearly 40 years later is even moreso now. Goes to show the more things change in the world, the more they just stay the same.

Not yet but I aim to. It shows up in my bookstore's inventory, so I can easily order it and also use my discount.

Cool. Great film. Another example of films they don’t make anymore

I've enjoyed Cronenberg's other works I've seen such as The Fly and The Dead Zone. I still need to see some of his others such as this as well as The Brood.
