There's also the creator's website with a series of articles on Maxx FX. This was a planned toyline of the late 80s in which you could dress the titular character of Maxx FX into a number of various Horror and Sci-Fi film villains and creatures, and he was basically a superhero who would fight crime when in disguise as a certain monster and while dressed as said monster would also have special powers and abilities. This was a very cool concept that sadly failed back then, largely due to the backlash and controversy over the talking Freddy Krueger doll the same company put out which in turned prematurely killed the Maxx FX line. Such a shame. At least the concept would later live on in a way with the likes of McFarlane and NECA's many genre figures based off of Horror and Sci-Fi characters and are smartly aimed at adult collectors rather than kids, which was no doubt a mistake on Matchbox's part. I wonder had this line succeeded if we may have gotten a Maxx FX Crypt Keeper doll? Who knows what could've been.
