An underrated sci-fi action film from the early 90s. Dolph Lundren puts in a good performance as the cop Hunter down an alien drug dealer. Matthias Huues is great as the villain. It’s a shame it didn’t do well initially but had become a cult favorite.

I've always liked this movie a lot. Fun memories catching it on cable back then. It reminds me a lot of similar movies that came out around the same timeframe like The Hidden, Predator 2 and Split Second. Movies involving a monster of sorts on the loose in a city or urban setting with cops after it.

They certainly don’t make films like this anymore. Just a fun action film. I think the film only cost 8 million to make and the action looks more realistic than the 200 million dollar action films they do today

For sure. That's what I enjoy about a lot of genre fare made throughout the 80s and 90s, even with the outlandish material they still have a realistic quality to them. Which I think has a lot to do with the extensive usage of practical effects and minimal CGI, which makes a lot of newer movies feel very video game-y.

Absolutely. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to a theater to see a new movie. Hell even the cable horror and action movies don’t exist anymore. Those were great in the 80s and 90’s. This particular film had a pretty inventive premise. I think Dolph Lundren gives his best performance and Matthias Huues is a great bad guy and a cool dude in real life

It was fun as a kid stumbling onto a new genre film you'd never seen before and then enjoying it so much and gaining a new favorite film to watch. I miss those times for sure.

Belated sequels coming decades later seems to be a thing now, so who knows. I wouldn't be against it if it was well-done.

Yeah very few sequels work. I u go jo this one would work because they can delve deeper into the backstory of the aliens
