Who knows if the fourth film was originally planned to have some material like this but for whatever reason they opted not to use it. A real shame. Joey and Elliott make for a surprisingly good couple. It would've been interesting to see them go that route in the film series. Joey and Elliott actually seem to be a surprisingly popular couple among some Hellraiser fans. I like the idea that Joey has his child, which in itself opens up a lot of routes for the series to go in the future. I know. I'd rather they go in that direction than the film we ended up getting. I totally agree. I think that Joey and Elliott as a couple are adorable. They should've explored that aspect more. Besides Kirsty, she was the second person to see him in his true form.

Yeah, and I also like the idea of us seeing LeMerchand make the box via flashbacks from Joey doing her investigation, which would've been a good way to make the film partially a prequel but still not to go the route of the future stuff. Plus it would've also been a good way to explain the nagging plothole from the second film as to how and why Channard knew of the other boxes and had them. Would've been a good way to dig into the past while still keeping the movie in the present.
It's really unfortunate they didn't go this route in Bloodline. I like the idea of Joey and Elliott as a couple and Joey with his child, which would've been a far better way to tie into the whole bloodline aspect with Joey's child essentially extended the bloodline of both Elliott and Pinhead. Which like I said before would've set up a twisted yet neat family dynamic. I'm not saying I would've wanted to see them go the route of something like the Son Of Pinhead, but it would've been something far more suitable for the Hellraiser mythos than Pinhead in space.

Great song. Motorhead did their own version of it for the third film which also had an awesome video.

I love that song. With all due respect to Ozzy, the Motorhead version was better to me.

Same for me. Ozzy's version is great but Motorhead's version just has that extra "muscle" to it for lack of a better term. I'll always have a special love and affinity for that song as it got me into Rock and Metal music at a young age, ever since I first heard it over the HR3 end credits. Perfect song for the movie for sure. I like this fan-made mash-up which combines both songs into one.

Such a BADASS SONG!

It's all the more awesome how Clive Barker actually directed the video, too. His involvement with HR3 was minimal at most but it still has that Barker authenticity to it, which sadly you can tell was lost in the remaining films. I actually do rather like both Bloodline and Inferno, and they maintain that Barker touch well enough, but you can tell his involvement by then was in a very limited capacity.
I've read that apparently Joey was conceived as a replacement for Kirsty when Kirsty's actress wasn't available for the full duration of HR3, which I think worked out as I've always been a fan of Joey's character and she stands on her own without being in Kirsty's shadow. In itself a very rare feat in any sequel. I don't know if it was ever planned for her to return but it's a real shame it never happened. I still like Bloodline but the more I think about how it could've worked as a more direct follow-up to Hell On Earth the more you start to feel it was a missed opportunity in some ways. Expanding more on Joey and Elliott's relationship and possibly them even having a child (which would've nicely tied into the whole bloodline theme), having Kirsty back in the mix, it's a shame they didn't go this route. Plus I always wondered what became of the pseudo-Cenobites from HR3. Not even so much as a mention of them at all in Bloodline.

Hellraiser: Bloodline Fan EditI want to give this a look sometime soon. A fan edit of Bloodline that recuts the films and splices in footage from the workprint. Looks like it's quite different from the theatrical version. I'll try to give it a look this week. With luck someday we'll get a Director's Cut that's restored to the original version before the reshoots and space stuff. Nice to see Joey in Bloodline even if it's just recycled footage from HR3. Really helps to give the film some much needed connection with the prior films.

They got some things wrong there, but overall I thought it was an amusing watch.
Pinhead seems pretty much impossibe to truly defeat. He can be banished with the box but that's about it.

Luckily, Pinhead seems more or less reasonable unlike the others like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, and Chucky.

At least with the original version of Pinhead. The Hell On Earth version where he's unbound with no morality is pretty much as bloodthirsty as any of the other elite Horror killers. And some cool Hellraiser news as NECA is releasing an Ultimate Pinhead action figure this October. That looks awesome and I immediately must own it. They did an awesome series of Hellraiser figures years ago, so hopefully more are planned.

That's a cool ass figurine. I wish I could purchase it.
