He's said he's absolutely open to reprising Pinhead again, so with luck, we'll get a new Hellraiser film with him back in the role. Hellraiser just got greenlit for a remake, but I'm hopeful we'll get a good final sequel in the original canon before the baton is passed on. Bradley surely deserves to end his run as the character on a far better note than Hellworld. I know! Nobody can portray Pinhead the way Doug Bradley can. And yes, he deserves a better send-off. Though, in my opinion, Hellworld was a genuinely decent Hellraiser film.

I still have to see Hellworld, I've seen up to Hellseeker (which I found to be meh).
On another note, just realized today is also the 27th anniversary of Hellraiser III. Happy birthday, hard to believe it's nearly 30 by now, I'm not much older than it. It was my introduction to the series and it was quite the way to introduce me at such a young age.

You might like Hellworld but I'll understand if you don't when you finally do watch it. Wow! That's been a long time.

I make it a point to give every film in a series a fair shake. Maybe Hellworld will be better than expected. I sometimes can enjoy a not so good sequel in a series in a guilty pleasure sort of way.
I was 5 years old in 1992 when HR3 came out, I still remember seeing the previews for it on TV. It was my introduction to Hellraiser and at the young age I saw it at was quite the way to introduce me to Pinhead.

My introduction to the Hellraiser franchise was through the second film when I was over my great aunt's house and my cousins and I were briefly watching it on TV. I was like 6 or 7 years old at the time, and at first, it scared the hell out of me. Just the image of seeing a skinless Julia as a child was mortifying! Of course, I eventually was able to watch the first and second Hellraisr films with no problems in my teens. LOL. I was 1 year old and was about to turn 2 years old when HR3 came out in 1992 and didn't see that film until I was in my late teens.

I recall I didn't seen the original until I was about 11 or 12, when I caught it on FX back in the late 90s. I didn't see Hellbound in it's entirity until years after that. So for a long time, HR3 was my gateway to Hellraiser and it's always been the main film for me in that regard. It's likely a nostalgia thing, but it's always seemed like the definitive entry to me for that reason.

Just saw the news of a Hellraiser series in development at HBO, from David Gordon Green (director of the 2018 Halloween) and Michael Dougherty (who directed Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, Krampus and Trick 'r Treat). Definitely intrigued about this and hope it turns out good. Here's to hoping Doug Bradley makes his much-needed return as Pinhead.
It's pretty awesome to think Pinhead's now coming to the same network that's the home of Crypty.

I liked Hellraiser but didn’t love it. The first one is really dark and cool. Most of the sequels Are awful IMO 😂

The first film is still so different from the films that came after it. It'll be interesting if the HBO series is more akin to it.

I rewatched Hellraiser 2 Hellbound recently and I liked it better than when I was younger. It’s got flaws and is confusing but I thought it was the best of the sequels

I used to not to be too fond of Hellbound but it's grown on me in more recent years with rewatches. I feel the first movies overall made for a nice intertwined trilogy where the films and characters all felt like they shared the same universe.

A Hellraiser HBO series has just recently began production and Cliver Barker is officially involved. This is awesome news. I hope we get Doug Bradley back as Pinhead. A reboot of the film series was also announced.

Interested to see how this will be as a series. I always loved the Friday the 13th Series even though it had nothing to do with Jason. The Freddy Nightmares series was fun but flawed. So it should be interesting

There's also the Child's Play/Chucky TV series to look forward to next year as well.

In addition to the HBO series, Hellraiser is also getting a remake at Hulu. Not sure how I feel about this. I'd really like to see the series get a good final sequel to end the original canon on a good note.
