Agreed. My father lost a bunch of his friends fellow cops and regular employees in the towers. A good friend of our family lost her husband. In fact we had gone to their wedding just a month prior which is horrifically sad That's devastating. My deepest condolences and prayers go out to your father and your family friend. . Appreciate the kind words

Life is so precious and fragile, and can be taken from you without warning at any time. Every moment you have matters.

Absolutely. That’s why I really connected with this show. It came on in 2007-08 and by that time I had started to get over my 9/11 experience. Going through any type of trauma is horrible but it also can make you a stronger person I truly believe

It's so easy to take for granted when you awake and begin another day of life, as there's so many other people who aren't so fortunate in that regards.

It's so easy to take for granted when you awake and begin another day of life, as there's so many other people who aren't so fortunate in that regards. Exactly. Life is a gift. And it's extremely important to take it one day at a time. Even I have to keep reminding myself of that.

It's something I find myself doing much more often lately, especially with the pandemic. Scary how easy it is to get afflicted by this awful virus.

True BUT I’ve learned over the past year that you can’t let Covid run your life. Living in fear is the worst thing and it makes it easier fir certain people to manipulate you into doing what they want. What I love about the show I Survived is that these victims went through horrendous traumas but they all say that they came out stronger and didn’t let the trauma completely take them over

Of course, fear can't dominate your life. Bad as this virus is, we just have to adjust to it and still go about life as it can't be put on hold forever. It's bad enough we all lost 2020 and so many plans were cancelled because of it.

They’ve been running reruns of this series on CourtTV fir the past few months. Even though I’ve see all of them I think they’re still so harrowing. I mean I’ve been in some pretty scary situations but many of these stories are so intense that it almost feels unrealistic but it is

The fact they all really happened and these people lived to tell about their ordeals, it puts things into perspective. Life is so fragile and it can be taken from you in an instant without warning.

Yes absolutely. Not only is the victim affected but their loved ones as well. One story a woman is raped in the middle of the night while her husband is away. Years later it’s revealed her attacker was a close friend of her husband’s who even”helped” her in the proceeding years after the attack. She says her husband was so betrayed and full of anger at his “friend”that he wanted to murder the guy and the police had to literally guard him in the courtroom otherwise he would have killed the rapist.

My mother got mugged at gunpoint back in February of 2017, and it's scary how close I came to losing her. I'm very thankful she survived and that the following day the attacker was caught and imprisoned. He made the stupid yet fortunate mistake of taking her phone which allowed police to track him. He'd been wanted for robbing a convenience store not long before he mugged my mother. It's so frightening.
