Another one of my favorite Horror anthology shows. More low-budget and not nearly as graphic as TFTC, but still a good, eerie show in it's own right with many entertaining episodes. It's very 80s which for me adds to it's charm and the intro is infamously creepy, and in some ways arguably more frightening than TFTC's classic intro. Some of the best episodes are easily on par with the best of TFTC, IMO.
Some of my favorite episodes in no order except the first:
Halloween Candy The Last Car Monsters In My Room The Family Reunion In The Cards Sorry, Right Number Word Processor Of The Gods Red Leader Seasons Of Belief Inside The Closet Trick Or Treat Effect And Cause A Serpent's Tooth The Geezenstacks The Yattering And Jack Hush Madness Room Levitation Printer's Devil The Impressionist The Satanic Piano Baker's Dozen The Circus The Cutty Black Sow No Strings
To name a few, there's plenty of others I like. Definitely a good show that's a great companion piece to TFTC. I've always liked the TFTD movie a lot as well.

I haven't seen many episodes from this series, but some are very memorable. The Last Car was a good one, as was the one with the elderly couple that invite a young hitchhiker in "for dinner" (can't remember the title).

Oh yeah, I forgot about "The Odds" - great episode starring Danny Aiello.

Oh yeah, Anniversary Dinner. Very creepy ending, if a bit predictable.

Also of note one of TFTD's main producers, William Teitler, went onto become one of the main producers for the first two seasons of TFTC before Adler and Katz became the main showrunners. TFTC definitely had a different feel with Teitler's involvement.

How do you figure the show felt different under Teitler's watch?

How do you figure the show felt different under Teitler's watch? It seemed in the first two seasons the episodes more closely replicated the mood of the original EC Comics and many were even shot and lit in a way that was similar to how many of the comic panels looked, and while the show always had a dark humor vibe to it it seemed in Season 3 onward it emphasized that particular aspect more, for some reason. Which isn't to say it strayed for the Horror aspects because it didn't, but from 3 onward it seemed the dark humor element became more prominent, somehow.

I didn't realise it was a TV show. I remember there being a movie that had Deborah Harry in it and I liked that but we never got the TV show here in Australia. I will have to look into it and see if I can get it on DVD.

The movie is great.
The show is well worth a watch. It's extremely 80s so might be dated for some, but I think that adds to it's appeal in a way.

I just looked it up and they have the complete series of the show on Amazon for only $27.29 which is really cheap and I have added it to my cart and will order it the next time I place an order on the site.

A heads up to TFTD fans that the TFTD movie is coming to Blu-ray from Scream Factory on August 25th. Can't wait to own it. Scream Factory does excellent Collector's Editions of numerous genre titles, and it's about time this one got the deluxe treatment.
Such a shame about the TFTD movie's planned sequel getting cancelled. It was to include the scrapped Pinfall segment from Creepshow 2, along with an adaptation of Stephen King's Rainy Season and Robert Bloch's Almost Human. It'd be great if they got adapted for the Creepshow series.
