Even though I'm excited for the future of the MCU, one can't help but feel it's already past it's prime and there's no recapturing the excitement of the earlier years, especially around the time the original Avengers came out. It has most likely gone past its prime. And with them adding all of these unnecessary, poisonous ideologies and politics in the next films, it's extremely troubling to where I can't get excited anymore.

Plus with a lot of the flagship characters now out of the picture, it may unfortunately affect the future box office.

Plus with a lot of the flagship characters now out of the picture, it may, unfortunately, affect the future box office. IT WILL. Especially, since they're thinking about turning Professor X and Magneto into people of color which is some FORCED DIVERSITY BS!!! As a black person, I find this is INSULTING and UNNECESSARY. Have you heard about this, too?

I heard as well. I'm all for legit diversity but this seems to be the forced and insincere kind. But I'm keeping an open mind to see where they go with it and hopefully it's handled with care.

I'm not too thrilled about this because they're doing this to score brownie points and not being truly sincere. Plus, Professor X and Magneto should remain white, and brand new characters that are black or people of color should be created instead of doing this.

I get they won't their take on X and Magneto to be unique but this kinda doesn't seem like the right way to go about it.

And force diversity like this isn't true diversity but tokenism, which is just friendly racism and sexism. The exact opposite of what legit diversity is.

I get Marvel wants to appeal to the widest audience possible but IMO this is not the way to go about it.

They're also trying way too hard.

Thing is they already had a wonderful message of genuine diversity initially without even attempting it. In the first Avengers when the team bands together for the greater good despite their differences, it came off in such an organic and moving way. This forced diversity like that stupid moment in Endgame (I think you know what I'm referring to) is just the opposite of that.

This forced diversity like that stupid moment in Endgame (I think you know what I'm referring to) is just the opposite of that. EXACTLY! They definitely initially did a great job with diversity that was genuine and natural. But now, unfortunately, it's FORCED and SUPERFICIAL. It's starting to turn a lot of people off. And yes, I know which moment you're referring to in Endgame. That girl power moment PISSED ME OFF and I'M A WOMAN MYSELF! The moment was cringeworthy and insulting because it made it seem like they didn't need the men to help them defeat the threat!!! Men and women are supposed to be a team!

Exactly, that's why I felt the moment was forced and did just the opposite of promoting a positive message. It made no sense whatsoever within the context of the sequence to boot, what's the logic of the female heroes posing together when they're in the thick of battle and the heroes of both genders need assistance? It made them look stupid and to me that's the exact opposite of genuine empowerment.

And it was supposed to show female empowerment? That's BULLSHIT! And as you stated, IT WAS THE EXACT OPPOSITE GENUINE EMPOWERMENT. It made absolutely no damn sense that they put all of the female characters posing together like that in THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKIN' BATTLE! HOW?! AND WHY?! It's a good thing that I didn't go to the movies to see Endgame because I would've walked out on this scene. I love it when a group, whether they're all men, all women, or both genders are genuinely strong together as a time, and not some forced, virtual signaling BS. For example, even though I have yet to see the film, Starship Troopers show men and women working together and having each other's backs.
