The thread to discuss all things pertaining to the MCU. Wonder if there's any other fans here. I'm a massive fan and have been so ever since it's debut 10 years ago with Iron Man, and love and enjoy all of the films in their own way. My personal favorite is Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but I enjoy and adore them all in their own way. It's amazing how the MCU has kept a consistantly strong quality throughout and how they keep surprising. The most recent Avengers: Infinity War was nothing short of amazing and I'm still in shock over the ending.

I haven't seen Infinity War but I know for a fact that Marvel in general is KILLING IT at the box office! Marvel just keeps taking kicking major ass and constantly keep taking cinema to new heights.

It's pretty astounding how they've kept consistantly good quality with their films and have yet to stumble. It helps they've also given lesser-known and more obscure characters their time in the spotlight and aren't just rehashing the same characters again and again. Years ago nobody would've ever thought the likes of Ant-Man, Black Panther, the Guardians Of The Galaxy, etc. would've had their films and look how good their movies turned out and gave the MCU much-needed freshness to keep it interesting.

Infinity War has made history for being the fastest movie to reach the billion dollar mark and now it could potentially topple Avatar and Titanic as the highest-grossing film of all-time. I sure hope it does, it deserves it. Awesome that Marvel is dominating the movie world and industry like this.

Ant-Man And The Wasp came out last week, I loved it. I think I liked the first one a little more but this one was still great and another solid Marvel film. They seem incapable of making a bad movie at this point with how they've kept the quality consistantly good.

The trailer and title for Avengers 4 is finally out. Fair warning if you've yet to see Infinity War as it's slightly spoiler-y.

I like how so far they've revealed so little about it. I have no doubt this'll be quite an emotional and intense film.

Started going through the MCU again to prepare for Avengers: Endgame. I've already watched Captain America: The First Avenger and the first two Iron Mans, and have the remainder lined up for the next handful of days. I'm being super careful to avoid spoilers after I heard some got leaked out. The directors even begged fans not to spoil the film, which is telling about how much of a major impact Endgame will have on the MCU.

Saw Avengers: Endgame earlier, and it's tough to talk about it without massive spoilers but I'll say it's an incredible movie as well as being highly emotional. Having the MCU become such a big part of your life for the past eleven years and these characters feeling like extended family, it definitely hits hard on an emotional level.

Endgame officially surpassed Avatar as the highest-grossing film of all-time, both domestically and globally. Congratulations, Marvel. I'm not an Avatar hater but that movie wasn't worthy of being the highest-grossing of all-time.

I'm not an Avatar hater but that movie wasn't worthy of being the highest-grossing of all-time. I agree. Especially concerning Avatar. Even though the visual effects in that film are GORGEOUS, the storyline and characters left a whole lot to be desired. Even though Endgame has all kinds of story issues, at least it had story build-up from many movies before it.

I haven't seen Avatar since I saw it in theaters, from my memory it wasn't bad but was such a "been there, done that" kind of affair and not really deserving of being the all-time highest-grossing.

I totally agree. The story was just meh for me but I couldn't get pass the characters. At least Sam Worthington as Jake Sully was decent but overall, I hated most of the other characters.
And I don't see why James Cameron wants to make several other sequels for it. It works just fine as a standalone film, which are becoming rarer nowadays with all of these sequels, prequels, reboots, remakes, etc.

On top of that Avatar isn't exactly remembered or talked about anymore, and Cameron will be nearly 70 by the time he finishes up the series. I think the time has well passed for Avatar sequels and he should focus on original projects.
