You can go more in-depth about it here, it's fine.
The pandemic has done so much damage to every major industry including film and I guess even Disney hasn't been unscatched by it. Maybe them trying to include Alien and Predator has a means of reaching the widest possible audiences has something to do with this. So much has been changed by the pandemic.

Those new Predator toys are honestly pretty cool, and while not quite as detailed or lifelike as what NECA's done, they're still pretty impressive. I'd like to add them to my colection. Still so unreal to think Alien and Predator are getting new toys aimed at kids in 2021.

They're just not openly and overwhelmingly marketing them like they did in the 1980s and 1990s. They most likely don't want to anger parents. Hence, the Internet is mainly where these toys are discovered. And those Predator toys do look pretty cool.

Thing is I think by now every kid knows about the Xenomorph and Predator. Some may not be allowed to watch the films just yet but both creatures are so heavily ingrained into our popular culture that one instantly recognizes and knows of them. It's just like with the big Horror icons like Freddy, Jason, Michael, Chucky, Pinhead, etc. even young kids know who they are.

It's still pretty insane to me to think Disney now owns Alien and Predator. But at least both creatures are still getting comics aimed at mature readers and not children, as the first issue of their Alien series has a Parental Advisory warning on it and skimming through it, it's well-earned going by how gory it is.

I'm not too thrilled about that because I've heard that the Alien and Predator comics released under Disney and Marvel are rather lame. Not to mention, Disney and Marvel have been shoving poisonous politics and propaganda into their stuff in the last several years. So, unfortunately, I'm very apprehensive about the Alien and Predator comics.

I still miss Dark Horse having the license to both monsters and wish there was a way they could still publish Alien and Predator comics in conjunction with Marvel. If not for Disney they probably still could've.
