I can't imagine having an experience like that now, especially with the pandemic. I bet even with protective masks on, costumed crew members can't get too close to the people in attendance.

Going to a theme park nowadays with the pandemic and having to both wear a mask and social distance, it'd feel very awkward. Plus I can't imagine how much longer waiting on-line to go on a certain ride would now take. You could easily spend hours waiting on-line to go on just one ride.

True. Even before the pandemic going to the theme park was very different than the 80’s and 90’s.

Another thing is depending on the ride you're going on, your mask could probably easily come right off from the speed and motion, which would be a given during a roller coaster.

I havent been on a roller coaster in a long time 😂. My favorite roller coaster was something called the Dragon in Busch Gardens back in like 94. Probably not around anymore but it had so many loops and was a pretty big ride. It was very fun

I couldn't imagine going on a roller coaster ride now with having to wear a mask since it'd easily fly right off of your face. Or going on a water ride where after getting soaked the mask will just come right off or even mix in with the water in the ride system.

Yeah I can’t imagine wearing a mask on a water ride 😂. I also miss those giant slides you would go down they were fun. I’m not sure if you ever went to Dutch Wonderland but they had those hide slides that I would go up and down like 10 times

Yeah it’s not a huge well known them park. It’s located in the east in Pennsylvania. I just found a video of a vacation I went there in 90.

I was living in NYC at the time when I was a kid. I remember going to a theme park called Adventureland, where my relatives lived at Long Island at the time. Fun memories of that and the video store in the neighborhood, too.

Yup in East Farmingdale. I also used to have a fair that came every summer a few minutes from me. It was great because it stated right when school was out for the summer. Then near the end of the decade a bunch of idiots started causing havoc and it stopped.

That sucks, the fair cancelled all because of people who had to ruin it. Living in NYC back then I also remember the street fairs they used to have and there was always something cool there.

Yup the Italian festivals especially in Little Italy. But yeah I loved the fair and was pissed it stopped. Looking back I feel like it ending was a symbol of that era ending and now we are stuck in this era which I hate 😂

I remember how big the crowds at the street fairs often were, and no way can they do those fairs nowadays with the pandemic going about.
