Got to wonder what the interaction between Crypty and Mr. Simms would be like. It'd be priceless for sure.

I'd love to see what kind of a tale Crypty and Simms would come up with together. I could totally see Fitting Punishment being a collaboration of their's.

Btw, for a while, my mother thought that the "Fitting Punishment" episode was a segment from Tales From The Hood. And even she thinks that it fits the film.

Fitting Punishment even feels like a precursor in a way to TFTH. I wouldn't be surprised if perhaps TFTH's director may have been influenced by it.

That would've been most appropriate for sure. This makes me really want to see a Crypty and Simms collaboration. The two together would be hilarious but still poignant.

I think I found another movie that would be a great candidate to be a TFTC-like film. And that film is Netflix's Velvet Buzzsaw. My mother and I watched it over the weekend and we both liked it. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, and John Malchovich.
The film has almost all of the qualities of a TFTC episode. It has characters who're up to no good, supernatural things occurring, and people getting their comeuppances in some of the most creative ways. What do y'all think?

I'm sure Doug and John have met at conventions over the years. Who's to say they haven't already done an interaction of sorts between Crypty and Pinhead, which would be awesome if they have. There's good fan fiction stories for sure but as you said, with some film sequels they end up feeling like the bad or silly kind of fan fiction as opposed to something that's well-written and could easily be a professional script. JWFK was well-made and an improvement in many ways over the past couple or so sequels, but there's still room for improvement in regards to the writing. There's concepts in JWFK that made me scratch my head. Btw, this is kind of funny and pathetic but kind of relating to Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, over the weekend, I had a nightmare about dinosaurs chasing me through a toy store. The reason being is because I had caught JP on TV while channel surfing and decided to skip the movie because I want to watch it from the beginning. But, since I had my nightmare about dinosaurs, I don't know. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

That must've been such a scary yet cool dream to have.
Speaking of Jurassic Park, watching The Lost World not long ago I couldn't help but notice how the deaths of the two main human villains in that film is something right out of an EC Horror comic. I don't know if that was deliberate on Spielberg's part, but it's hard not to think of the EC just desserts formula in those situations.

I have to see the first film and TLW in order to get a gander at the human villains' comeuppances. From what you said, it does sound like the EC just desserts formula.

Say, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this film yet but I think that Nocturnal Animals could be an interesting choice for a TFTC-like film. Though it would be one of the more serious and dramatic stories, it does have that mystery and eerie atmosphere that's in some of the TFTC episodes. And yes, it's a film about...SPOILER ALERT... REVENGE! Though, not exactly the type of revenge you may be thinking. Any thoughts?

Not seen Nocturnal Animals yet but you've gotten me interested to give it a look. I haven't seen it either but my mother has seen it a few years back and she told me about it. She says it's good. I've seen some videos that give film analysis for the film and I already pretty much know what happens in the film. But I still want to see it for myself. The reason I stated that this film would probably be a TFTC-like episode is due to the film's dark and subtly eerie atmosphere. Watching some of the videos about the film in which they show clips, I got a sense of dread. In some of the TFTC episodes and EC Comics stories, there's a sense of dread and darkness. Some of them don't always have black comedy. Some of them are quite serious and dramatic, and I think this film shares that.
