It speaks for itself Aquaman and Shazam both did as well as they did, which shows there's interest among the general public for these lesser-known characters. Thank you!!! Since there is a need to explore more lesser-known characters and people seem to like these characters, WB/DC throwing all of that away would be shooting themselves in the foot for more potential future success.

WB really is their own worst enemy when handling DC properties, unfortunately.

WB really is their own worst enemy when handling DC properties, unfortunately. They truly are. In this case, what makes this even more frustrating is that the show is genuinely good. I'm a few episodes in and the plot is quite enthralling. Yet, WB seems to think that canceling this show is a good idea even though many people want this show to stick around.

Much as fans may love Batman and Superman, it seems WB is always adamant about recycling them over and over again and not focusing on the lesser-known DC heroes. Aquaman and Shazam showed audiences have interest in the more under the radar type of characters and look how well that also panned out for Marvel. Characters like Ant-Man, Black Panther and the Guardians Of The Galaxy are now household names, which goes to show how well Marvel handled them.

How long is WB going to continue CONSTANTLY keep recycling Superman and Batman on film? It's getting extremely tedious. They should bench them for a while and let other lesser known DC heroes get their chance to shine. And as you said, the successes of the Aquaman and Shazam films have shown that people do want to see lesser known DC characters onscreen. If Marvel can make once lesser known characters household names, so can DC.

It's still unfortunate how DC is so hit and miss with their films. The DCEU has it's good films like Shazam, Aquaman and Man Of Steel, but the big event films like Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad turned out so lousy and Justice League though not terrible was meh. The DCEU should be every bit as good and epic as the MCU.

Justice League was okay. But BvS and Suicide Squad are lousy. And for some reason, those two particular films frustrate and piss me off. I'm sure they frustrate a lot of other people as well. They were doing too damn much with those films. Sidenote: And now, even the MCU is starting to collapse.

The fact Suicide Squad was PG-13 to me is completely unacceptable and inexcusable. Characters that hard-edged have no business being dumbed down for a family audience when that's not their target demographic. Same with characters like Spawn.

Suicide Squad, like Venom, SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN rated PG-13! Even though it still made a lot of money, the movie ultimately didn't go over very well with many people because of the fact that it's watered-down, the writing was off, and it was confusing when it came to the tone and atmosphere.

The reshoots to make it more lighthearted and comical after the dismal reaction to Batman v Superman likely didn't help it either, which goes to show how bad WB's mishandling of the DCEU has been. The Suicide Squad deserve to be dark, edgy and no holds barred, and the film was none of those things. I'd much rather see Suicide Squad remade then get a sequel, to be honest.

After how BvS didn't go over very well with a lot of people, they did reshoots for SS to make it more lighthearted. And they did the same thing for Justice League. It showed in both trailers.

It didn't help either movie and in the case of Suicide Squad doubtlessly made it worse. Then again the SS movie was doomed the moment they opted to make it PG-13.

I'd much rather they erase the first SS movie from the canon and remake it right with a hard R-rating.
