It's ridiculous how 50/50 the DCEU is right now between how it's got some really good films like Shazam and some total stinkbombs in it. It should be as consistantly good as the MCU has been.

DC and WB were too busy trying to catch up to Marvel. Hopefully, they will now make more good quality films. So far, they're doing great. But as for Marvel, judging by Phase 4 and the future phases, I'm not looking forward to their films anymore.

That's precisely what hurt WB and the DCEU, competing with Marvel. Look how badly botched Batman v Superman was. That film really should be written out of the canon and ignored, as it's just too messy and problematic.

I, like many others, never thought that I would live in a world where a live-action movie with Superman and Batman would end up being a piece of shit. Even though I've always HATED the idea of these two characters fighting each other, these two coming together in a live-action, full length film once sounded awesome. Now, we're in a position where the very thought of them together in a live-action film is repulsive. SMH.

It never made sense to me in the first place for Batman and Superman to be enemies unless it made sense within the type of story they were going for. The way BVS went about it made no sense.

BVS was obviously trying to cash in on the MCU and didn't take it's time like the MCU did, and it unfortunately showed badly in the final product.

Their impatience to compete with Marvel blew up in their face for sure. Between that and also the mishandling of Justice League.

Sometimes, the product that would bring future success may turn out not to be so. Especially if you're not careful in handling it with care and taking your time with it to make sure it's good in quality.

And the DCEU noticably has only improved after the dismal reception both BVS and Suicide Squad got combined with the meh reception towards Justice League. The studio had to learn the hard way how to improve.

I wonder where Man Of Steel will now stand with Superman's actor now out. It's too bad as I really liked MOS and felt it was a good start to the DCEU, and then it came tumbling down badly with BVS and Suicide Squad.

I actually like Man of Steel and thought that Henry Cavill did a great job as Clark/Superman. It's just a shame that the films that came after that had kind of ruined that film. All because of trying to play catch up to Marvel and to shoehorn in the unnecessary battle between Superman and Batman. SMH. I actually hope that Henry returns as Superman someday.

I would've vastly preferred Man Of Steel get it's own seperate trilogy before any crossovers. Goes without saying Doomsday should've been saved for the third MOS film and not shoehorned into BVS like he was, where it's obvious he was just another toy to sell.
