The DC streaming service has a new show called Swamp Thing which aired its pilot episode last Friday. I'd seen it and it seems pretty good. Anyone who has the DC App or streaming service, check it out if you like.
Also, it's the second live-action show based on Swamp Thing. The first came out in the early 90s.

I've been curious to give it a look. Always liked the Swamp Thing character and feel he's been long overdue for a comeback. I remember the Swamp Thing craze of the early 90s with the two movies, the live-action and animated shows and the toyline.

I've vaguely remembered Swamp Thing growing up. I haven't seen any of his films and cartoon show as of yet but after watching the new show, it makes me want to do so. I just recently found some of the episodes from old show from the 90s and they're very interesting. I absolutely agree that Swamp Thing was long overdue for a comeback. He's a fascinating character whom I feel doesn't get enough respect.

I think he's a character many have wanted to see back in action for some time. It's good to see a more under the radar DC character like him finally getting attention. Batman and Superman seem to be all that we get these days with DC, but between Shazam and Swamp Thing it's good that the more low-profile characters are finally getting their due.

It's awesome that Swamp Thing, Shazam, and even Aquaman are finally getting their due.

The big numbers show that there's definitely an interest from both audiences and fans alike to see these lesser-known characters get the spotlight. Who would've thought characters like Aquaman, Shazam, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the GOTG would now be household names by now. Here's to hoping more get the attention they deserve.

I just heard that they canceled Swamp Thing a week after the first episode just premiered. They're not going to do a season 2. I'm pissed off and disappointed!!! I loved the first episode and looked forward to the rest of the season. Now, hearing this basically spoiled it for me. Even those who watched the show are also very upset by this unfortunate news. Here's the link to the story on Deadline.com. link

Here are more links talking about the show's cancellation. Damn. I'm glad that I don't have an account with the DC Universe app. SMH. linklinklinklink

Ugh, seriously? The show wasn't even given a chance to find it's audience and already it's axed.

Ugh, seriously? The show wasn't even given a chance to find it's audience and already it's axed. Yeah! And there are many people who're also upset by this news. In fact, there's a petition for this show to stay on, even if it has to be moved to another streaming service or on television. There's even a hashtag on Twitter called #SaveSwampThing that's trending.

Here's to hoping it's a success. This is insane for the show to get the axe so soon. At least give it a chance on another network.

And people, including myself, actually enjoy the show and the fact that it's getting axed so soon is unfair and terrible. The show is very engaging in terms of the story and characters, and it's genuinely creepy at times.

Plus the fact Swamp Thing is finally getting a much-needed revival all these years later. It's good to see the more under the radar DC characters as of late like Shazam and Aquaman get attention, and Swamp Thing absolutely deserves it, too.

It speaks for itself Aquaman and Shazam both did as well as they did, which shows there's interest among the general public for these lesser-known characters.
