I would've vastly preferred Man Of Steel get it's own seperate trilogy before any crossovers. Goes without saying Doomsday should've been saved for the third MOS film and not shoehorned into BVS like he was, where it's obvious he was just another toy to sell. That's what I wanted, too. I also wanted Man of Steel to be its own trilogy before venturing out. And yes, Doomsday DEFINITELY should've been saved for the third MOS film, or at the very least, one of JL films. But, since WB couldn't be patient and was focusing too much on Marvel, they just had to rush things and push Batman into this situation.

It's too bad, and at the end of the day WB has nobody to blame but themselves for their impatience.

It seems the DCEU is slowly but surely recovering at least, between Shazam and Aquaman. At this rate I'm far more interested to see where they go with Shazam, after how surprisingly good the film was and with it being a radically different character from the usual DC stalwarts of Batman and Superman, which made it feel like a breath of fresh air.

Same here. They've done a phenomenal job with Shazam and Aquaman. Especially Shazam because I thought that that wasn't going to do well. Thankfully, I was wrong. Both of those films and characters are AWESOME.

Of the upcoming DCEU films, the Shazam sequels are honestly what I'm mainly interested in. It's such a different character from the usual superhero variety. Much like Marvel did with some of their lesser-known heroes, a gamble was taken on a Shazam film and it paid off very well.

Same here. As long as the same crew are back I trust the Shazam follow-ups will be as good.

The movie actually made me more interested to read some Shazam comics to better understand the character's history in comics. To me, that's always a very good sign of a good comic book film adaptation when it makes you want to read up on the character's origin in the comics.

I'm seriously anticipating what's next for Shazam AND Aquaman when it comes to the films as well as the characters. And yes, that is always a good sign of a good comic book adaptation when you want to learn more about the character's history and origins.

Shazam is such an obscure and little-known character even to many comic book fans, and the film made me want to read as many comics about him as I could. We actually have quite a few at the bookstore I work at.
