It's weird watching the videos of major cities like NYC that were recently taken and seeing how deserted and quiet they are. NYC is usually such a lively, busy city and seeing parts of it like Times Square look like a ghost town is so surreal.

I just went to the drive in again tonight. Saw The Rental and Relic.

It's going to feel weird watching award shows like The Emmys since they're going to be virtual right now.

It'll probably be quite a long time, years even, before we have in-person awards shows and ceremonies again, among other types of events. With how severe the virus is getting this won't be an overnight process to get rid of it, and it'll probably take a few years for it to be 100% gone.

Yeah it’s going to take some time even when we do get the vaccine. The problem is still people not following the simply rules of social distancing. For example at the drive in they limited the people able to attend. Cars must have 6 feet of distance. Other than that you can still sit outside your car, have food, etc. But one moron parked likes 2 feet next to my car. I gave him a look like “Are you kidding me?”. But obviously he didn’t care so I went got the security guy who told him he had to move where there was 6 feet of distance. I mean it’s common sense that some people still refuse to follow

I try my best to social distance but it's easier said than done a lot of the time. Especially when in a shop and people are converging in the same area you're in. Very frustrating.

But it was told to people when buying tickets that it was 6 feet of social distance in between cars. They had huge signs. This guy was just trying to sneak into the front without people noticing

I hate when that do that. It reminds me of people trying to sneak in without masks on. Like this idiot in this video.
I hope he gets charged with assault which is clearly what he did here.

I recall it was around this time last year we started hearing more about the virus in the news and it got more and more severe as the month of March went on. Hard to believe it's been that long already and this virus is still ongoing.

I'll never forget what a strange feeling it was to see shelves completely empty of everyday items like hand sanitizer, soap, toilet paper, etc. I'm grateful they're not difficult to find anymore, for the most part.

Finally getting around to being vaccinated. Got back from my first Pfizer shot earlier and will go back for my second and final one on June 1st. Other than my arm being a little sore in the injection site, I feel fine so far. It feels good to know my body is about to be protected against this damn virus.

Thanks. I originally wanted the J & J but hearing of the blood clots it caused in some people made me weary of it. So far I still feel normal, other than my arm being sore where the injection site is. It's expected after an injection.

My arm is feeling quite better today, still some soreness but in another day or so it should be normal. I had to take off from work as I didn't want the physical work I do to aggrivate the healing process. Fortunately I get sick/absent pay.
