Yeah a lot of memorabilia I remember at Suncoast. Sam Goody was another store. It was mainly a music store but I used to find a lot of movies there too that were less expensive. Thinking about it now I think o hit the Wraith from Sam Goody

I remember Sam Goody, I don't think they're around anymore sadly. Shame as they always had good stuff.

I remember occasionally you could find some surprisingly little-known movies carried there. I recall one time finding an original VHS copy of all things there, The Gates Of Hell. Which is also known as City Of The Living Dead, by Lucio Fulci.

Yeah True. I’d also find some 50’s b horror films that I liked there too

Suncoast occasionally had more obscure fare as well. I remember they carried a fair amount of cult merchandise too. Always fun to find them hidden among the more mainstream stuff.

Yeah it brings back memories of the days before steaming or even Amazon. When you wanted a particular film or memorabilia you had to find it at a certain store like Suncoast which there weren’t a lot of I dont think and it was not inexpensive. Still I miss those days

I still miss looking through the Horror section of video stores and finding a bunch of obscure fare along with more mainstream favorites. Streaming is great and convenience, but there's something about the simple thrill of browsing through a video store's Horror section I miss.

Yeah me too. My local video store was right next to my favorite pizzeria/restaurant so it was perfect for a weekend when I was young plus they made fresh popcorn at the video store as well.

It was always fun to find videos to rent for the weekend and grab your favorite foods and kick back and enjoy.

Yeah those were the days. Inviting your friends to come over and watch vhs tapes. Nowadays kids that age just use their iPad lol

Streaming is convenient and all, but I miss the days of spending hours browsing around in a video store and finding a new movie or two or three to watch, especially Horror fare. This is no doubt what helped a lot of films get a new lease on life after being overlooked in theaters, when they became popular rentals.

Rewatched this not too long ago. I still vividly remember this playing frequently on Saturday nights at 5 pm in my area in the early 90’s. This and Christine which is quite the double feature for horror/car lovers 😂

I remember seeing it advertised on WPIX back then. Whoever ran that station back in the 90s was clearly a Horror fan. So many I remember seeing on there.
