There's still a lot of stories from the comics that never got adapted they could use, and even adapt some stories from the animated series albeit much more mature. PRECISELY!!! ^ They should do that if they decide to bring this show back. |

It'd be awesome to get a proper TFTC revival someday, and as I said, done properly. I'm glad the revival that was planned for TNT didn't come to fruition, to me TFTC without the Crypt Keeper puppet isn't truly TFTC to me.

Still can't fathom how that could've been thought to be a good idea to do a TFTC comeback with the Crypt Keeper. It would've been a disaster.

I bet Crypty is the main reason people still remember and talk about TFTC 30 years later. He made it so much more than just another anthology. Between Kevin Yagher's grisly yet iconic design for the puppet and John Kassir's outstanding voice acting, he helped make the show what it is.

Crypty is an extremely distinctive figure of the show. Even celebrities say that he's the one they remember from this show. |

On the subject of TFTC-like Horror films, I watched The Night Flier for the first time in years not long ago and it's very TFTC-like in many ways, right down to the dark ending. It even has the late, great Miguel Ferrer in it who was in a few episodes. I may have mentioned it a few pages back. In any event, it very much has the feel of a TFTC Presents film.

I think you mentioned The Night Flier a few pages back. But it's a movie I definitely have to check out. The plot by itself sounds like an EC Comics horror story or a TFTC episode. I wonder if it's on Netflix, Amazon, or YouTube. |
